Parents, we are nearing the end of the regular season, which means that Divisionals is just around the corner. Please remember that in order for a swimmer to be eligible to swim an event at Divisionals, he/she must have swam it legally in a regular meet. So, if a swimmer has not had an opportunity to swim an 'official' time in a specific event, we would like for parents to leave a comment on the RSVP page requesting that event. Likewise, if a swimmer is close to qualifying for an Invitational meet (RWB or PON), please request those specific events as well. We will do our best to accommodate requests.

Invitational Meets Invitational Meets are optional meets, held mid and end-of-season that are open to swimmers reaching a certain level of competition. Swimmers must meet qualifying times in order to participate. Qualifying times vary depending on the Invitational. These meets offer a fantastic opportunity for our families and swimmers to compete at a higher level. Shockwaves will pay the entry fee for relays. However, individual event entry fees are paid by the swimmer.

Pentathlon - June 14 Red, White and Blue - June 26-28 Ponderosa - June 27&28

Pentathlon: June 14th Klein Forest High School 11400 Misty Valley Drive Houston, Texas 77066

If your swimmer has qualified and you would like to participate in the Pentathlon meet, Erin Bingham will be taking payments at this Saturday’s Meet. The deadline is this Saturday at the end of the meet. For more information about Pentathlon, or other upcoming invitational meets, visit the meets tab on the Shockwaves website.

• The Shocksheet Meet Etiquette Meets are a great experience, and we can all do our part to keep things fun for everyone! As a reminder our team’s age group tents are provided to shade the swimmers and the tent parent volunteers. If your family group needs more space, please consider putting up another tent close by, or taking advantage of the shade trees. Swimmers should check in with their tent parents frequently so they don’t miss any events. Also, bringing a grill to a meet is not allowed. Coolers with lunches and snacks are welcome, but park them outside the tent if the swimmers need room!

Team Uniform The Shockwaves are a unified team so we do require that all swimmers wear the official Shockwaves swimsuits at our meets. Female swimmers are also required to wear the official swim caps. Our team suits are available at D & J Sports, located on Spring Cypress across from Wal-Mart. Please note that D&J closes at 6 p.m. If you are unable to meet the uniform requirement, please contact a member of the board.
