We’ve trimmed up the school ready for Christmas and it looks really rather festive. The children have produced some stunning work based on the theme of winter. We now have a ‘Christmas Post’ where children can post their Christmas cards and they will be hand delivered to their friends. Thank you to all of you who came to our Christmas Fayre. We raised a whopping £819.65! Money raised for school funds contributes towards paying for school trips, Values awards, Santa’s presents etc. May I take this opportunity to thank the staff for all their hard work in organising this event. A massive thank you for turning up at our Family Learning Day yesterday. We were overwhelmed by how many parents came, it was fantastic! It’s lovely to see so many parents engaging in home/school projects. We will be frantically rehearsing for our Christmas plays over the next couple of weeks. Your children’s singing sounds wonderful! Don’t forget to return your slip indicating how many tickets you would like.

Congratulations!

Due to the dark, winter mornings and not having a lollipop person, I am becoming increasingly concerned about the safety of our children when crossing the road to come to school. Several children are crossing the road at an angle and when cars come around the corner too quickly they do not always see the children. Following consultation with parents and staff I have therefore made the decision to close the pedestrian gate on the driveway between 8.309.15am and 2.30-3.15pm. This will encourage children to cross the road safely using the island and the zebra crossing. I appreciate this may be an inconvenience to some parents however, my decision is based purely on keeping children safe.

Well done to these children for getting a special mention in our Celebration Assembly for fantastic work and behaviour! th
