Title: Accounts - Sales Ledger Apprentice Based at: FS Cables, Alban Park, Hatfield Road, St Albans AL4 OJX – www.fscables.com Job Type: Permanent Hours: 37.5 per week – Monday to Friday Salary: £13,000 per annum _________________________________________________________________________________________ Job purpose: We are recruiting an Accounts Apprentice to join our small, friendly accounts team, working closely with the Credit Controller in order to provide a premium service to customers, suppliers and work colleagues. We are seeking someone who has a desire to learn all aspects of accounting and would like to experience a hands-on approach to developing their knowledge and skills. Duties 1. 2. 3.

will include: Produce daily Invoices for FS Cables & FSC Global. Daily allocation of customer payments onto their accounts. Daily review of “Held for Credit” Customer Accounts to ascertain if payments have been received, release accounts on hold. 4. New Customer Account Opening. Obtain specific information from the Sales Team to complete New Customer Account Opening Form. Perform specific due diligence checks on the Company & obtain references. 5. Completing supplier information questionnaires. 6. Assisting Credit Controller with debt recovery. 7. Continual monitoring & updating systems for Customer credit checks. 8. Provide cover for Bought Ledger team. 9. Providing copy invoices, POD’s and assisting with general accounts queries. 10. Adesting documents. 11. Additional duties as required by the Credit Controller/Accounts Manager

In addition you will learn how a business operates by spending time in each department of the company throughout the first year.
