Mission Statement Our new club was established to promote and enhance the soccer culture in the Northern McHenry County area. It is our mission to promote youth soccer on a competitive level, all while promoting passion for the game, good sportsmanship, and the development of skills. Through a diversified training program, we will foster an environment where players will learn the skills they need to safely compete on multiple levels; on the field, and off. We will always put the player first, striving for success on all levels. Our success will be the direct result of the time and talent we invest in the youth players of our community, and the lessons they take with them. Together, we are building the team players of tomorrow!
Business Case Overall Numbers Economies Scale for costs, equipment, fields, etc Quality in building teams Leverage of coaching skills for ages, divisions and gender Strength in numbers, together we are better
Benefits • Board knowledge, what works in one town we can leverage and learn from each other • Programs shared (Intern, International Travel, Kiddie Kicker/HS program, Goalkeeper training, etc) • Systems currently used can be shared across towns for more automation • Equipment/Assets can be utilized instead of being rented/expensed • More volunteers all around • Training leverage pairing trainers with their expertise in age, gender, skill level • Competitive programs for everyone
Implications on Programs Recreational Program 1. Teams will be built based on town at registration 2. Leverage each town when we don’t have enough to build a specific age or gender 3. Leverage towns when we need more teams to play against, more variety 4. Still play in your community with kids from your school and age
Implications on Programs Travel 1. Build teams based on similar skills, less disparity on teams 2. Opportunities to travel international, showcases, tournaments best fit their skills 3. Trainers paired up with kids that best match their skill set 4. Movement of players between our clubs in past no longer occurs 5. Less risk of losing families because they have opportunities in their own community for their child to develop 6. Potential to bring back previous players who would fit in our newly formed teams/divisions
Training Currently we have 2 training companies we employee Three Lions (Johnsburg) Skills First (McHenry/Richmond/Spring Grove)
Collaboration among the training staff to outline the best path forward for our new club Definition of the training staff will be in place prior to tryouts, so parents have clear direction on the structure
