Coaching Philosophy q To provide the necessary age appropriate technical and
tactical training to develop players in accordance with US Youth Soccer guidelines. q Facilitate a competitive environment to promote a players desire to improve and reach their desired level. q To provide a love of the game at what ever level the individual plays. q To promote sportsmanship and respect all those involved within the game.

Academy Program 2005-2006 q TSC has the interests of the players at heart, therefore
the development of a player is our number one priority. q Our program is designed to maximize developmental opportunities to help ALL players reach their goals. q Adopting a win at all costs philosophy alone is detrimental to a young player’s future; therefore we will choose long-term player development over competition in situations where they conflict. q Our program provides a competitive playing experience AND improves long-term player development through a systematic approach to organized curriculum.
Academy Program The focus of the program is to constantly assess a player’s skill levels and adjust their opportunities. Program Goals: q Improving Technique – individual skills q Improving Tactical Knowledge – good decision making q Improving Teamwork – enhancing skillful / imaginative play q Improving Standards – discipline, preparation, dedication
Advantages of Pool Play q For players within the academy ages development
can be very fluid due to different rates of physical and technical maturation, pool training allows easier movement of players q Psychomotor Development motor skills balance q Cognitive Development knowledge thinking & decision making q Psychosocial how they interact / emotional
