General Conference of Elders-2016
Pastor and Wife
The annual General conference of Elders/Meetings will be held from May 13-16 and will be followed by Council of Elders Meetings from May 17-19. There will be special international meetings held on May 13 to be followed by the special Sabbath service on May 14 to be transmitted to congregations around the world. The formal business meeting is held on May 15. This meeting is where the elders approve the strategic plan and budget for the upcoming year as well as various amendments. Also, selections will be made to fill Council of Elder positions. After the business session, there will be educational seminars to fill the remainder of the time. The theme for the conference this year is “Live the Word” which follows last year’s theme of “Labor in the Word”. Your prayers for God’s direction and blessing would be most appreciated.

ABC Continuing Education Program There’s still room in the one-week ABC Continuing Education Program taking place in Cincinnati, June 20-24. The fee for five days of classes ($65 per person or $85 per couple) also includes continental breakfast and lunch for five days, plus dinner on Thursday. We are already collecting funds to help our international membership with next year’s Feast of Tabernacles-216. Every year we slowly but surely collect coins that build and build to a point where we are able to help fellow members in such far off locations such as Colombia, Bolivia, Cameroon, Ghana, Benin, Togo, Malawi, Zambia, Kenya, Benin, Nigeria and Mexico. These funds basically go towards basic necessities such as transportation to the feast sites, fresh water, generators to maintain electrical power, building facilities to worship in, plus some just plain fun things to do during the festivals that otherwise could not occur. Our festival jar is on the information table. It awaits your visit .
