Our congregation now has a focus regarding your generous donations. Mr. John Elliott, Senior Pastor for East Africa, has asked that we consider helping our 450 Kenyan brethren who currently use 6-person tents for festival residences. Think of where you are staying this year! The local Pastor there is hoping that they can construct “permanent” cabanas. They cost $200 a unit and they are hoping to construct 15 for this year. It’s time to focus one coin at a time. Let's keep up the good work! Questions: Please contact Marie Zelenka.
Our regional Women’s Enrichment Weekend will be at the Embassy Suites in Santa Ana. The theme will be “The Power of Encouragement”. Brochures and separate registration forms will be available soon on the Information Table and available now to be downloaded from Garden Grove’s website (garden-grove.ucg.org). We hope that many of the ladies will be able to attend this encouraging weekend.

“What is Hell?” “Wars of Gog and Magog” “Three Mind-Bending Truths” “Your Ultimate Purpose”
We live in a time and manner in which far too often we are staring at our television, our smart phone, a rear view mirror on our automobile or the mirror on our wall. Far too often we tend to look at what’s in front of us or around us. But the great day comes, A when we start looking up and keep our gaze on what God always intended to be His calling card to know He is and will always be and looks down upon us with favor. Perhaps Ralph Waldo Emerson said it best nearly a hundred and fifty years ago when penning, “If the stars should appear one night in a thousand years, how men would believe and adore, and preserve for many generations the remembrance of the city of God which had been shown! But every night come out these envoys of beauty, and light the universe with their admonishing smile” …. Psalms 148:6 (NLT): “Praise Him, sun and moon! Praise Him, all you twinkling stars! Praise Him, skies above! Praise Him, vapors high above the clouds. Let every created thing give praise to the Lord, for He issued His command, and they came into being.” Isaiah 40:26 (NLT): “Look up into the heavens. Who created the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name. Because of His great power, and incomparable strength, not one is missing.” It’s Time to Look Up!
