USF Sarasota-Manatee Student Government Association Executive Board Meeting Minutes July 16, 2013 C0306 Board Members in Attendance: Todd Hughes - SGA President, J.D. Lotz - SGA Vice President, Mathew Ward- SGA Treasurer, Absent – Student Senate President, Absent - Campus Activities Board President, Christopher Mowry – Secretary. Student Services Members in Attendance: Guest(s): Murray Devine, Kyle Kern, Manuel Bass, Rose Feitz, Jonathan Campbell Call to Order: 3:06 pm by Todd Hughes
Additions/Deletions to Orders of the Day: In the future, change “Additions/Deletions” to “Amendments”. J.D. motioned to approve. Christopher seconded. Approved. Additions/Deletions to minutes: J.D. motioned to approve. Christopher seconded. Approved. President & Vice-President Updated: Met with Dr. Guilford about Student Government activating. J.D. notes that himself and several member of SGA attended and SGA conference in Orlando. Committees are needed for Elections, Gym refurnishing, and Student Lounge refurnishing. Branch Updates: Judicial Branch is going over Florida State statutes. Ad hoc Committee will be formed tomorrow. July 17, 2013. Jonathan fist noted that he was not at this meeting in an official capacity. He also noted that the Senate should be ready to go over Todd’s new Judicial appointment on Friday’s meeting. Advisor Updates: None for July 16, 2013 Open Floor: Christopher motioned for an Open floor. J.D. seconded. Manuel asked if it were possible to put our information on the televisions around the school. It is not. SG would have to set up their own television. Mathew noted OrgSynic will be able to handle some aspects of advertising. Christopher noted that SG has their own recorders and that privet recorders are not be used. Murray would like to know about advertising in the restrooms. Christopher motioned for to close the open floor. J.D. seconded. Old Business: None for July 16, 2013 New Business:
Rose informed us that a student my need help so financial help getting an internship and is wondering if SG can help. This is an issue that will need to be looked into further. Announcements/Upcoming Events: Still working on the Fish Tank. Dr. Guilford will bring it up at his next meeting. Meeting Adjourned- Christopher motioned to close. J.D. seconded.
