VALIDATION STATEMENT FOR

Validation Scope: The Rainforest Alliance has validated that Global CO2 Reduction, Inc.'s Northern Ontario Forestry Offset Pilot Project design is in compliance with the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Alliance Standards, Second Edition. This independent third-party validation covers an afforestation project on an area of 45 hectares of abandoned agricultural land in Kapuskasing, Ontario, Canada. The project area boundary is located within a groundwater well head protection area and is owned by the municipality of Kapuskasing. The goal of the project is to promote forest restoration of abandoned agricultural land to a jack pine (Pinus banksiana) and white willow (Salix alba) plantation. The project has estimated its net climate, community, and biodiversity benefits over the 75 year project length..
Validation Registration Code: RA-VAL-CCB-012980 Date of validity: June 11, 2010 The period of validity of this statement is contingent upon the project’s continued implementation of the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Project Design Standards, Second Edition and as further defined in the Rainforest Alliance Validation Audit Report dated June 11, 2010.

These services are based on protocols and standards developed by RA or other organizations and may or may not be endorsed by an accreditation body or GHG program.
