Validation Scope: The Rainforest Alliance has validated that the design of Envirotrade Carbon Limited's Sofala Community Carbon Project is in conformance with the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Project Design Standards, Second Edition and attained the gold level of approval for exceptional climate change, community and biodiversity benefits. This independent third-party validation covers an agroforestry and REDD project on an area of 511,392 ha in two community-owned project zones in the Gorongosa National Park buffer area and the Zambezi Delta in Mozambique. The project has estimated its net climate, community, and biodiversity benefits over the 100 year project lifetime.
Validation Registration Code: RA-VAL-CCB-013586 Date of validity: September 1, 2010 The period of validity of this statement is contingent upon the project’s continued implementation of the Climate Community and Biodiversity Standard, Second Edition, December 2008 and as further defined in the Rainforest Alliance Validation Audit Report dated September 1, 2010.
