Camp Director: Corey Holton Corey Holton joined the Vassar College staff as the head women's soccer coach in the spring of 2014. In 2015, the Brewers finished the season ranked 4th in the Liberty League, earning a spot to the conference tournament for only the third time in program history. The team finished with a 9-72 overall record, and placed five players on All-Liberty League teams including freshman Rebecca Andrews who was named the league's Rookie of the Year. In Holton’s first season, the Brewers posted an 8-6-3 overall record, and two players earned Liberty League honors, while another garnered All-Region accolades. Holton came to Poughkeepsie after a season at Division I University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. As a member of the Fighting Irish staff, Holton served as the recruiting coordinator while helping lead the Irish to the third round of the NCAA Tournament. Previous to her work at Notre Dame, Holton was the head women’s soccer coach at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and also served as the head coach at Concordia University Texas for three seasons. Holton still stands as the program’s alltime winningest coach at Concordia, as her term culminated with a 14-6 record in 2011 and an American Southwest Conference Coach of the Year honor. Holton’s coaching career began back in 2006, as she was an assistant coach at Greensboro College for three years. Holton served as recruiting coordinator, and helped guide the Pride to a record-breaking 14-4-1 season in 2007. During her time in North Carolina, Holton earned a masters degree from High Point University. She was a four-year player and two year captain at Elmira College where she earned Bachelor of Arts in psychology. She holds a United States Soccer Federation “C” License.
Assistant Directors: Kelsey Yam & Steven Domino Kelsey Yam just finished her first season with the Brewers. She was a crucial part of our success in the 2015 season helping in all aspects of the program. Yam comes to Poughkeepsie after two years as a graduate assistant coach at Clarkson University, following a successful four-year career at Skidmore College. She earned an MBA while serving as an integral part of the Clarkson staff. Yam helped the Golden Knights to their best conference season in school history, while assisting with recruiting, on-field instruction, fitness, academic performance and scouting of upcoming opponents. Yam has also coached with the Seacoast United Premier SC and Blackwatch Premier Soccer Clubs. Yam, a native of Longmeadow, MA, is a graduate of Skidmore College where she played for four seasons with the Thoroughbreds, scoring 15 goals and eight assists for 38 points in 73 games, including 69 starts. She was a Liberty League First-Team all-star as a sophomore and junior, gaining NSCAA Division III All-East honors in 2011, and was chosen as a Liberty League Second-Team honoree in 2012. Her team made two NCAA appearances in her tenure. Steven Domino also just completed his first season at Vassar. He was responsible for our goalkeepers during the 2015 season and helped guide senior goalkeeper Emma Nichols to First Team All Liberty League honors. Domino joins the Brewers after a successful career in net for SUNY New Paltz. A three-year goalkeeper for the Hawks, Domino amassed a 0.735 save percentage. On numerous occasions throughout his career, Domino posted ECAC and SUNYAC Defensive honors. With his performance in net, he helped his team clinch a SUNYAC tournament berth in his first year with the Hawks. A native of Valatie, NY, Domino earned a bachelors of science in marketing and is currently pursuing a master’s degree.
