Verification Engineer - Job Ref No HST220 Working as part of the HeartSine Research and Development team, the successful applicant will assist the company in the testing and documentation of software and associated electronic hardware intended to control and support the company’s range of defibrillator products. A key aspect of the post will be software verification: that is, ensuring and demonstrating that software meets all product, design and regulatory requirements and will perform as intended. Although based primarily in the software department, this post will provide opportunities to participate in the verification and validation of hardware as well as software, to ensure that our products not only meet requirements but to demonstrate that they do so consistently. Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience Requirements: Applicants should possess a third level qualification in software engineering, electronics or a related discipline. The post requires the applicant to demonstrate initiative with highly developed communication skills (both written and verbal). Analytical skills and attention to detail are key job requirements. The successful candidate will also require good team working skills and be able to work under pressure against tight deadlines. Desirable: Knowledge or experience of the following of would be useful:

To verify the software or hardware of a part of a product or system

To generate verification plans, specifications and schedules

To ensure that systems are validation ready

To assist in the identification of resources required for the verification process

To produce and release such documentation as is required during and after the verification process under the Documentation Control Procedure
