Walrus Families-.

Important Dates:

This week there is no homework due to the Martin Luther King holiday and minimum day this Wednesday. Students are encouraged to read each night and continue practicing math facts. We continued studying the civil rights movement and individuals that have made an impact during this time in history. We are exploring more activities featuring AfroAmerican writers, illustrators, artists, poets, and so forth. The students are eager to organize a Peace March (stay tuned). We are learning about amphibians in Zoology and conducting experiments in Geography. We are listening to compositions by Ludwig van Beethoven. The students continue to participate in “filling the kindness bucket”  STAR assessments are being completed this week and will go home with Report Cards soon.

The Box Top Winter Drive has begun. Please send any with your student. We are keeping a running tally of tops collected. Thank you. So far we have 372.
