2015-2016
Week No. Twenty-nine
Class Presentations Kylee presented a report on John Wycliffe, the lead translator of the English Bible and the “Morning Star of the Reformation”, this Friday. Thanks for your work, Kylee! Great Job!
NEWS AND UPDATES DAILY DEVOTIONS
For our devotions we continued to read from our devotional book God’s Word, with the lesson, “Being a Doer and Not Just a Hearer”. LESSON
We resumed note-taking this week with our lessons on the Hundred Years’ War and the Black Plague. We found it staggering that between a third and a half of the population of Europe and England died during the 50 years of the Black Plague. The students charted this statistic on a map of Europe. ENRICHMENT
Mrs Distefano led the class in some “plague” games this week. It’s fun activities like this that extend our understanding of the time we’re studying about. Thanks, Mrs. Distefano! NOTEBOOK BINDING
Mrs. Distefano serves our class each year by comb-binding the student notebooks, so they have a complete record of their lessons, homework projects and activities. She will start this within the next couple of weeks, so please tidy up your notebooks, make sure the presentation handouts are with the lessons we studied (John Wycliffe with the notes for this last week, etc.).
