In the land of Tinga,Tinga there was big, fierce lion with a slicked-back, round mane. He lived in a huge grassland with all of his friends, including: Tortoise, Hippo and Elephant. While the sun shone on the beautiful lake, lion was sunbathing.
While lion was sunbathing, all of his friends were telling jokes. Lion felt sad that he couldn't join in because he had a squeaky voice. Lion had a brilliant joke, it was, "why do football stadiums stay so cool? Because they have loads of fans!" ha ha.

Lion strolled off, heading towards the cave. When lion got there, he heard a roar somewhere in the cave. Not long after, Tortoise came along and he heard the roar as well and helped Lion find the roar. Lion (who was getting closer and closer) searched but didn't find the roar. Then Tortiose was walking along and the roar was right next to him and shouted for Lion. He ran faster than he ever ran before ( like a cheetah) to tortoise; Lion caught the roar and then spoke; all the animals in the land could hear him.

Lion was desperate to get back to all the other animals, so he walked with tortoise. Halfway there, the other animals started to hear a roar. That roar was Lion. Elephant and Hippo were so glad to see Lion but, "Where is tortoise?" Exclaimed Hippo. "It looks like he's still at the cave, walking really slow," chattered Lion, and every one started laughing. When Tortoise got there, lion told his joke and Elephant , Hippo and Tortoise laughed... Lion felt happy. F
The next day, Lion woke all the animals with his loud roar but they didn't mind as long as lion felt happy - and that's why lion has a roar. D
