WILDCAT FOOTBALL Welcome to the West Ranch Wildcat Football Family. We appreciate how overwhelming the transition to high school can be. We hope the information below assists you in the process of participating in West Ranch High School Football. If you still have questions, please do not hesitate to email us at [email protected]. There is a lot that goes into running a high school football program. Athletics are no longer funded by the school. Your full sponsorship payment and participation in fundraising are what allows the program to operate. Program volunteers are also an essential component for our program’s success. We welcome all who can give their time to help the program and your son’s team. The Wildcat Football Program is 100% funded by the sponsorships and fundraising received from all players. All the money raised goes directly to providing all levels with equipment, uniforms, weight room, food, bus transportation, supplies, photos and banquets. To meet these goals for all players the Wildcat Football Boosters, a non-profit organization, raises all the funds each season through your sponsorship and fundraising. All parents are invited to take part and be involved in West Ranch Football. I Will Be A FRESHMAN This FALL and Would Like To Play Football. What Do I Need To Do? Athletic Clearance and Medical Forms: All players must complete a Physical Form, Emergency Form and Consent to Treat Form. All forms can be found at westranchhighschool.com under Athletics. Turn all forms in to the coach on the first day of camp. Students CANNOT PARTICIPATE in camp unless they have completed a physical examination and submitted all completed forms on or prior to the first day of camp.
IMPORTANT DATES:
May 17th- MANDATORY PLAYER/PARENT MEETING will be held at West Ranch High School in Room #203. Please arrive by 5:45 PM. Coach will explain the season and information you will need to know concerning the summer and fall schedule.
JUNE 1st - ON-LINE REGISTRATION OPENS for freshman.
Go to www.westranchfootball.org and click on Registration Banner on top of the page. You will need to set up an account and list all the information requested. The Sponsorship (Spirit Pack) amount for fall football is $650.00. All players are required to purchase a summer practice helmet ($69.00), which is theirs to keep for the duration of high school.
JUNE 4th - SUMMER FOOTBALL CAMP BEGINS **Summer Camp Dates are the following: 06/04/18 to 06/22/18 and 07/16/17 to 08/02/18, Monday thru Friday 3-6pm. Any vacation plans should be make during the dead period between June 23th and July 15th** You will need to register for Summer Camp through the ASB Office. PLEASE REGISTER online at www.westranchhighschool.com under Athletics. Summer Camp Fees are separate from Wildcat Football Registration and paid directly to the ASB, not the football program. The cost of Summer Camp is $120.00. Summer Camp is not mandatory, but highly encouraged. Summer camp allows for the coaches to see and evaluate the players to help in where they would work best for the team.
JUNE 15th - Bingo for Designer Bags Football Fundraiser. Embassy Suites/ 28508 Westinghouse Pl, Valencia, CA 91355. $35 for 10 games. Doors open @6pm. Bingo starts 6:30pm. Purchase tickets when registering for West Ranch Football or email [email protected]. Tickets will also be sold on the first day of football camp.
August 2nd – PADDED PRACTICE BEGINS August 4th – PICTURE DAY August 16th – FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
What equipment or supplies will my player need? Players will need cleats and a mouthpiece. All other equipment is supplied from the program through sponsorships and fundraising. If a player has a personal helmet, it must be certified and the same color as the helmet used by the program. Youth football helmets are illegal at the high school level and may not be used.
Program Ad Guide: We sell programs at all our home games. We encourage every player to sell at least one ad for the program. The ads can be a personal ad or a business ad. The ad prices along with the requirements for submission of the ad are on the form. Any questions concerning the form or the requirements, please email [email protected].
