Wingman Wingman is a designated short vine pollinator bred specifically for pollination of seedless watermelon crops. The vine weight is light enabling it to sit loosely amongst the seedless watermelon crop without competing. The leaves are small and heavily lobed allowing maximum bee penetration and minimum competition. Prolific production of male flowers over an extended period enable transplanting flexibility. It produces small crushable fruit for increased safety when in field and is easily distinguishable during harvest.
Features: • Prolonged flowering • Early flower development • Large flowers
• Increased chance of holding king set • Maximum potential for seedless production with pre-determined inputs
• Maximum yield potential and therefore profitability
Advantages: • Pollen availability when seedless female flowers are open • Pollen available for when king set female flower is open • Pollinator transplant flexibility • Pollen readily available, attractive to bees
We recommend using Wingman with our new range of Watermelons including Summer Breeze, Joy Ride & Sweet Trick.
