Ms. Artense Morgan Floyd was born July 9, 1923 to the late Ila McKellar. She departed this life on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at home. She attended the Public Schools of Robeson County, and married the late Leroy Floyd Sr. at an early age. Ms. Floyd joined Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church, where she was a member until her passing. Ms. Floyd was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Floyd, Sr., her daughter Mary Emma Floyd, her mother, Ila McKellar and her sister, Ernestine Page. She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Pastor Ruth Byrd of Fairmont, NC; Mrs. Agnes Hubbard of Fayetteville, NC; and Mrs. Annie McCallum of Lakewood, NJ; a Granddaughter, Garnetta Freeman of the home, three sons, Mr. Leroy Floyd Jr. and Galvin Floyd both of Fairmont, NC and Mr. James E. Floyd of Spring Valley, NY; her beloved sister, Mildreen Stewart of Fairmont, NC; seventytwo grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and greatgreat-grandchildren, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, five special friends, Ms. Lorence Campbell, Mrs. Vashti Inman, Mrs. Margaret Campbell Jones, Ms. Margaret Mitchell and Mrs. Katie Brown.
