Writing and Phonics:
Tricky Words
Students will blend two-syllable words and understand what uppercase letters are used for. Students will understand that that some words, called tricky words, are not pronounced as they would expect. Tricky word when, word, why, to, no, I, where, what, and so will be introduced. Previously learned tricky words will be reviewed. Lastly, students will read decodable stories.
Math:
Parts of 17, 18, and 19; Problem Solving: Look for a pattern; Reteach; Assessment.

We will integrate our study of Seasons and Weather with science.
Notes from the Teacher:
If you have not turned in your child’s progress report, please do so as soon as possible! Graduation fees were due this past Friday! We need to place our order, so please send your payment soon! Class photos will be taken Wednesday. Students must wear their uniform for photos. The LLCA Athletics will be selling hot dogs this week. If your child would like a hot dog lunch on Friday, please send $3 by Thursday. A permission form to KidSenses is being sent home today! The cost of this trip is $8.50. The price includes ice cream at Main Street Ice Cream and Coffee across the street. We will be carpooling to KidSenses. If you are able to drive and chaperone, please contact me! A more detailed letter is attached to the permission form. If you have any questions, please let me know! We hope you can join us!!!
