Phonics: Tricky Words
Students will blend two-syllable words and understand what uppercase letters are used for. Students will understand that that some words, called tricky words, are not pronounced as they would expect. Tricky words what, so, which, and once will be introduced. Previously learned tricky words will be reviewed. Lastly, students will read decodable stories.
Math: Topic 12 (Measurement) Describing objects by more than one attribute; Comparing by length; More comparing objects by length; Problem Solving: Try, Check, and Resolve; Comparing by Height.
March 8th – Half Day: Noon Dismissal! March 9th – Ms. Wyatt’s 18th Birthday! March 13th – Field Trip to KidSenses! March 19th – Spring Photos! March 29th – Half Day: Noon Dismissal!

No hot dog sale this week! A permission form to KidSenses was sent home last week! Please return the permission slip and money before March 12th. The cost of this trip is $8.50. The price includes ice cream at Main Street Ice Cream and Coffee across the street. Students need to wear their “Kindergarten Rocks” t-shirt with uniform pants or shorts. Please send your child’s lunch in a paper or plastic bag labeled with their name. DO NOT send non-disposable items. Chaperones will not be responsible for water bottles, utensils, etc. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO SEND YOUR CHILD’S BOOSTER SEAT ON THE DAY OF THE FIELD TRIP! We will be carpooling to KidSenses. If your child does not have their booster, they will NOT be permitted to go. If you have any questions, please let me know! We hope you can join us!!! Spring photos will be Tuesday, March 19th. Students may wear their finest spring outfit for photos.
