In Literacy we have been reading Beowulf by Michael Morpurgo. The fight between Beowulf and Grendel was so cool. Eventually, we needed to make and plan our own versions of the story. It took forever to write our own versions because we wrote, edited and redrafted every day until they were perfect. We’ve done an amazing job. By Holly
In Numeracy our class have been learning about fractions. We have been counting in fractions and practising equivalent fractions. I think the class are trying their best. We also learned how to use the formal method for multiplying 4 digit numbers. The class did a great job. By Phoebe
In Science we have been looking at the life cycles of different animals. We also researched David Attenborough and Jane Goodall. We found out about the different parts of flowers and what special functions (jobs) the parts have. We’ve all worked hard in science. By Marcus
In History we have learned all about the Anglo-Saxons. We visited Jarrow Hall and we found out what Anglo-Saxons would eat, what they wore and all about the awful punishments that they received if they committed crimes. We also learned about St. Bede and his life at the monastery. Everybody enjoyed the day, especially the part when we re-enacted an Anglo-Saxon battle. By Anjali
