Minot Soccer Association Special Board Meeting Minutes July 19, 2016--Optimist Soccer Complex 7:00pm __________________________________________________________________________________ Board Members Present: Andrea M, Mike A, Denise M, Mike L, JoAnn B, Paul L, Kelly P, Nate H, Tanya B, Jon V Absent: ---Ellen J Opening: A special meeting of the Minot Soccer Association was called to order at 7:00pm at Optimist soccer complex by Nate H. Agenda Spaghetti Dinner Director of Coaching Contract Coaching Commitment for U16G Spaghetti dinner August 9—5-8 pm -Christ Lutheran Church Have parents sign up on volunteer and players will bus tables in full uniform. Bucket raffle items – Golf at country club, $100 Visa gift card at Town and Country, Scheels gift card, Harleys item, 2 season passes for MSU events Tanya B will send Mike A. a list of last year food items. Mike L and Nate H will get the permit and tickets Free will offering Steve will send out volunteer spot information. We will try to have placemats again like last year. Contract for Coaching and Director of Coaching Reviewed both documents in detail and discussed changes. Updated documents will be distributed. Jon V made a motion to accept the Director of Coaching Contract. Kelly P seconded the motion. Discussion: add the word “earned” bonuses instead of “bonuses”. Motion passed. Jon V made a motion to accept contract for coaching. Kelly P seconded the motion. No discussion. Motion passed. 1
Discussed current coaches fees for pools 10 and under/ pools 11 and up U10 and under winter- $35, U10 and under summer- $40 U11 and older winter - $45, U11 and older summer- $50 Coaching Commitment for U16G At 730 pm, Chad Oswalt and Jason Spain joined the meeting regarding the coaching commitment for U16 girls. Jason asked Chad to coach the U16 girls. Chad agrees to take the U16 girls starting in the fall. Communication between Jason and Chad needs to done via email with a cc to Mike L, Denise, Nate H. Adjournment: Mike A motion to adjourn, Andrea 2nd to adjourn. The next meeting will be held on August 2 from 630830 pm at North Hardees. The first half (630-715pm) will be a closed meeting to do the DOC self-evaluation. The second half (715-830pm) will be open with Mitch Lunde as a guest.
