[email protected] 12th March 2018 Dear Parents and Carers The term is quickly marching on and it’s approaching our annual Easter Egg Competition for our children from Nursery to Year 6. It will take place in our final week before Easter. This is where the children make and decorate an Easter Egg at home. Last year we had some excellent eggs - some really funny, others really artistic! Usually we get a range of eggs which have either been done by the children on their own (without adult help) or eggs that have been supported by parents. We are happy with either method because, writing as a parent who does this with my own child, it’s a good way to spend a wet weekend afternoon. We will display them around school so you will also have a chance to pop in and see them. The competition is open to every class. If your child wants to create a decorated Easter Bonnet this is also welcomed. We do award prizes to the best three in each year group. We always try to give the prizes to children who have tried their hardest to do it on their own. The Eggs (or Bonnets) are due into school on Tuesday 27th March, where the judging will take place by the end of the day. Parents are welcome to pop in to look at them after the bell at the end of the school day. Prizes will be distributed on Thursday 29th March in our final assembly of the term. We are really looking forward to your child’s (and your) ideas. Nick Conway
