Day 2: Dangers of Awakening While I’m sure you are eager to “get to it” and Awaken to learn the truth of who/what YOU truly are (and are not!), out of respect for the power of this process, it’s important that we first cover and prepare for some common risks that may come with your Awakening. I realize that it sounds kind of silly to say that a process of spiritual evolution is dangerous, but like a sharp knife, any powerful tool – especially tools of consciousness - can be used to create both great healing and great harm. It’s critically important that this material is only utilized by those who are truly ready for it, so I want you to know what to expect and what to be prepared for so we can maximize the healing and avoid the harm! One of my guiding principles for doing healing work is to never take away something that someone still needs, even the “bad” things. For example, if you are a healer and your client holds the subconscious block system “I have to be poor to be close to God”, you may not want to clear it until you are confident that this person no longer needs that belief. After all, if being poor is the only way that someone knows how to be close to God, either the block won’t clear, or the mind will just thrash around for a while and then simply recreate the old belief system so it has a way to be close to God. Most of the time this kind of situation is pretty easy to handle. If you’ve done energy healing practitioner trainings, you know that if your client holds the belief system “I have to be close to God”, you may first want to do the right subconscious downloads to create other more positive, beneficial ways to achieve the same effect. In this example, you’d want to download and test the programs “I know how to be close to God and rich at the same time”, and “I know what this feels like”. That way, you can ensure your client no longer needs the belief “I have to be poor to be close to God.” In terms of Awakening, you want to be especially careful about moving yourself or another into the Awakened state until you are confident you no longer need your false identification with the ego mind, personality, and body. This is because if you take away this false identification from someone who still needs it, there may be some unpleasant side effects. So what exactly are these dangers? The most important and biggest danger of Awakening is that some of your fear-based neuroses and motivations that have kept your bad habits “in check” may dissolve, leading to over-indulgence. For example, it may be that you eat a healthy diet because you are afraid that if you don’t eat well, you’ll get sick and maybe die. In this case, the fear of illness and death is serving you by creating a fear-based motivation to eat well. One of the biggest and most obvious changes after Awakening is that your fears of illness, death, and dying may decrease significantly, and perhaps vanish completely. Similarly, you will likely experience a lot less money stress.
Hence, it’s possible that some bad habits or dangerous behaviors that used to be held in check by your fears may be empowered by Awakening when those fears start to disappear. If this happens, you may (for example) find yourself indulging too much in the wrong foods and drinks. In other words, if your fear of death or illness has been your primary motivation for you to eat a healthful diet and get regular exercise, there is a danger that, after Awakening, you may get lazy and start eating whatever you want because you are no longer afraid of the consequences of a poor diet. Similarly, if your fear of being in debt or living in poverty keeps your habit of overspending in check, then after Awakening these fears will lessen or perhaps totally disappear…and this could be dangerous if your fears are the only thing keeping your from overspending! As with any big transformation or change in your life, you want to be properly prepared for your Awakening. In particular, it’s important to understand that the ego, mind, and personality – what we’ll call the “false I” - is powerfully motivated by fear, especially the fear of its own destruction. Further, note that you can’t have any fear without identification with the ego and personality. Hence, as you Awaken and lessen your identification with the ego and personality, it is likely that you’ll experience a significant decrease in fear and stress. After all, your true self – YOU - is eternal and unchangeable, and has absolutely nothing to fear from anything! Only that which is temporary and mutable, and therefore not true, can be injured or hurt or destroyed, and so the truth of who/what you truly are – your Awakened identity - is 100% incompatible with fear. It’s not just that You don’t fear, but that You can’t fear! Therefore, it’s understandable that, in some cases, good habits that are motivated by fear – also known as “away-from motivation” - may be difficult to maintain after you Awaken and the motivating fear starts to dissolve. But don’t worry – there is a solution! The Awakened person is motivated by love or “towards motivation”, rather than by fear or “away-from motivation”. I strongly encourage you to start to develop this new skill set of love motivation by using energy healing and subconscious block clearing to ease your transition to the Awakened state. Further, to prepare yourself for Awakening, you may wish to do a careful inventory of your own behaviors and identify the areas where you are still motivated to keep bad or destructive behaviors “in check” through fear. I would encourage you to find new ways to replace those fear-based or “awayfrom” motivations with love-based or “towards” motivations, because as you Awaken many of those motivating fears will lessen or completely disappear! A simple way of doing this is to list your biggest fears, and then use muscle testing to see which fears are held in your subconscious mind. (If you are new to muscle testing or have trouble testing yourself, please listen to the long introduction to this program.) For example, you might muscle test statements like “I am afraid of dying”, or “I am afraid of being homeless.” I would encourage you to do this slowly over a period of several days or even a few weeks, because it’s extremely difficult to come up with a comprehensive list of all your fears in one sitting. Instead, start by listing the big fears that come to mind, and then add to the list as things come up.
To help you do this quickly and effectively, you might want keep a little notebook with you at all times. (Or, if you’re a high tech person, you could use your smart phone or tablet, assuming you carry it with you all the time.) In particular, make sure your notebook or phone is nearby when you are sleeping, bathing, and using the bathroom, because those are times when the rational mind calms down and opens you to powerful intuitive insights. This opening also happens to me a lot when I’m exercising, so I sometimes take a little miniature notebook with me to the gym…not only is it great for recording intuitive insights, but it’s also convenient for tracking my workouts! Next, for each fear that you still need as a motivator to avoid an unhealthy or harmful behavior, start by relaxing and allowing yourself to feel the fear completely, and maybe even exaggerate it so the fear feels as big as possible. Then, write down a number between “1” and “10” that represents the strength of the fear, and write down where you feel it in your body. And be sure to muscle test the fear such as “I am afraid of going broke” – to see if the fear is locked into your subconscious mind. You might also want to muscle test to help you identify the utility or purpose of your fears. For example, you might muscle test “I need to be afraid of dying to eat healthfully”. Next, do subconscious clearing on your fears until you don’t need them anymore! Ultimately, all the muscle testing results you get for beliefs like “I am afraid of XYZ” should all be FALSE, and your muscle tests for “I need my fear of XYZ” should also be FALSE. If not, keep at it until they clear! If you know what you’re doing, you can do this subconscious clearing yourself. If not, you can work with someone who has the proper training. Of course, there are a lot of other healers, coaches, seminars, and therapists out there to help you release the subconscious blocks for your fears, so please use whatever works for you! Ideally, keep clearing until the amount you feel these fears is down to a 1 or 2 (on a scale of 1-10). It’s nice to eliminate fears completely, but honestly it’s unrealistic to expect big fears to completely
vanish until you have significantly embodied your Awakened state. In my experience, fears can be reduced very quickly to somewhere between 1-4 (on a scale of 1-10), and after that it may take weeks or months for your nervous system to fully clear the fear “residue” so it drops down to a 0. Details on the process of digging into the subconscious mind to clear your fears is beyond the scope of this program, but the fear digging process is presented in the VIP Club Transcending Fear special event series, and covered in great depth in the Formula for Miracles training and certification program. Finally, don’t forget that you don’t need to completely eliminate all of your fears to Awaken. Instead, do a little bit of clearing on the primary fears that you still need to keep you motivated to avoid bad habits or destructive behaviors. After all, there’s plenty of time to clear your other fears after your Awakening!
