God’s Handiwork/Masterpieces!

8am Holy Communion - Order One Janet Price

Ephesians 2 v 10 states – ‘For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do’. This Friday night our youth brought in their ‘Great British Bake Off’ handiwork and we got to taste and see some wonderful masterpieces. Today our fabulous Erica will be licensed in her new role as ‘City Chaplin for Older People and Assistant Minster at Highfield’. It can be easy to forget that we are God’s handiwork or as the New Living Translation puts it, ‘God’s masterpiece’. But as I viewed the cakes and saw what care and attention had gone into them, how much more care and attention has God put into us to fulfil, like Erica, the ‘good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do’.
