April 11, 2011 Minutes Opening Ceremonies— Meeting was called to order by Brother Sanford at 7:00. Recruitment—Brother Stillman Good Neighbor Picnic: April 26 Invitations will be out this week; please pick them up to hand out Finance—Brother Holdvogt Final Bills Due: April 26th Clothing Order Bills will be added to final bill Membership Education—Brother Sleik Brotherhood Reviews: Will be handed out next week Diversity Credit: Due Last Meeting Operations—Brother Kann Missed Crews Tip of the Week: Break down cardboard, Can take window kits down Spring Cleaning: Saturday, sign up if want to help out, good way to work off points Has plenty of things to do to work off points Commissary—Brother Lippert Tip of the Week: Clean pots and pans if you use them, don’t leave them for crew Closed the kitchen for lunch on Wed 20th for the Poultry Club Planning—Brother Moder Clothing Orders: Can still hand in until Friday Two New T-shirt designs: Passed out Crescents from other Chapters passed out Alumni Relations—Brother Monson Directory Update Scholarship—Brother Keck Study Files: They are almost done, just a few things to finish up Scholar of the Week: Brother Reynolds Brainstorming: How to get House GPA up House passed to give away two $100 prizes for guys that bring down items for the test files
Activities—Brother Hertel Main Street Clean Up: Brother Reynolds and Brother Odeen Intramurals: Softball Wed at 4:30 Lock In: April 29-30, Paintball on the 29th, Leaving the House at 3:45 to get set up by 4:30, $30 for rental and admission, $20 for 500 balls or $65 for 2000 balls. It was passed that the House pay $500 to be spilt among the guys that go paintballing Roadside Cleanup: Wed April 27th, Rain date Thurs April 28th Cookout/ASA: May 3th Unfinished Business Building Committee: Banker came through the House Wed morning, was very impressed, should hear back sometime this week Push for more pledges New Business— Student Senate; Gregg Heinselman is coming in to talk about the budget; the Provost is coming to talk about Minors GLC: The first Thursday and Friday of next semester when school starts there will be Greek events, Planning on Thursday to have a Ice Cream social and Friday to have a Greek event in front of the UC Greek Expo Greek Week: Crash on Cascade Monday at 5:00; It was voted on that Brother Grewe be our Greek God candidate; It was also passed to add $2 to every person’s house bill to put towards the can drive Safety Walk: Wed at 7:30 House Mother Comments Mom Voiles Good to see Eric Haupt Banker was impressed with the House and it will hopefuly help get the loan Andy Adams is coming this weekend with his cousin so be courteous and aware of what you are doing in front of his cousin.
Mock Interviews are this week There are so many of us so there should be good numbers for Greek Week Alumni / Guest Comments— Eric Haupt If you got time help Adam with the directory; it takes a lot of work The House is in good condition, the kitchen is clean, the hallways are clean, Keep it up Recruitment: Bring people out even it’s not during recruitment, recruit all the time Just wrote his check to the House for the House renovation Adviser Comments— Dr. Graham Story about awards and incentives There are nice study files
