April 4, 2011 Minutes Opening Ceremonies— Meeting was called to order by Brother Sanford at 7:00. Recruitment—Brother Stillman Good Neighbor Picnic: April 26th Possible roasting round roast or big chunks of meat for the Good Neighbor Picnic meal Going to send out scholarship applications to high school seniors interested in College of Ag Finance—Brother Holdvogt Bills Due: April 6th Final Bills Due April 21st Will be signing promissory notes on April 25 Membership Education—Brother Sleik Officer Reviews: Due Tonight Diversity Credit: Hand them in when you get them done Active test: Wed April 27th New Guy Test: Thurs April 28th Test Hand Back: May 1st Hatchet/Covenant exchange: May 2nd Operations—Brother Kann Missed Crews Pink Rose All House Recap: Got a score of 81% for cleanliness, up 20% from last year Tip of the Week: Take care of the toilets when you use them Commissary—Brother Lippert Tip of the Week: There is a new can opener; clean it after use Refrigerator: It is getting fixed for about $400 Planning—Brother Moder Clothing Orders: They are out; would like them before Tuesday night Alumni Relations—Brother Monson Directory Update Hung up ribbons downtown for Child Abuse Awareness Month
Scholarship—Brother Keck Study Files/ Committee Meeting: Wed at 7 Scholar of the Week: Brother Eckert Steak and Beans Recap: Most everybody came and got their steaks Activities—Brother Hertel Main Street Clean Up: Brother Andrew Christenson and Brother Beyrer Intramurals: Dodge ball: AGR 1 Thurs at 9 and AGR 2 Thurs at 8 and 9, Softball Co-Ed: Wed 4:30 Lock In/April 29-30 Unfinished Business Pink Rose Recap: The overall night was a great success; Thanks to Brother Thome for being MC. Awards: Freshman Spirit Award to Brother Kann, Sophomore Spirit Award to Brother Carman, Junior Spirit Award to Brother Grewe, Senior Spirit Award to Brother Eckert, Overall Spirit Award to Brother Matschull, Scholarship and Man of the Year Awards to Brother Brandt, and the Go-Getter Award to Brother McCarville, Advisors Award went to Brother Speerstra, Past Nobel Ruler to Andrew Christenson, The Peery Johnston Scholarship was received by Brother Beyrer,and our new Sweetheart is Cassie Richardson. Alumni Meeting Recap: Talked about the renovation and finances – still need pledges. Also how alumni can help with Recruitment and Membership. New Business— Student Senate: Voting is going on right now CAFES: May 4th is Senior Supper, April 28th is the CAFES banquet. Tickets are in the Dean’s Office for $9 Ag Olympics: Thursday Night, Teams are Due Tues Runway to Success: Wed at 8 Alpha Zeta: We closed the kitchen for lunch on Wed .
