Chapter of Excellence
If you’re… an established veteran looking for new skill sets and connections; new to the profession and looking for guidance; or anywhere in between, IAAP is there.
IAAP – Leading Administrative Professionals
“It’s an incredibly exciting time to be a part of the organization and we’re thankful for your support over the years. I’m so proud of where IAAP has come and even more proud of where we’re headed. I genuinely believe that together, we can redefine the organization and chart an exciting and vibrant course for our future.” – Judith Yannarelli, CAP-OM, President of the IAAP Board of Directors A special “thank you” to Kathy Mason, CAP-OM and her leadership of the APW Committee as they offered an incredible event on April 22 with 80 in attendance! In addition to professional networking, sharing a delicious meal, and learning about partnering for success – we shared IAAP’s core purpose: ”To ensure individuals working in office and administrative professions have the opportunity to connect, learn, lead and excel.” Make some time to connect with IAAP to learn and network at monthly chapter meetings; and one (or more) of these upcoming events: May 16-17: Wisconsin Division Annual Meeting (WDAM) July 26-30: Education Forum and Annual Meeting (EFAM) We are celebrating five of our chapter members who have fulfilled the criteria and achieved Members of Excellence status for 20132014. How close are you to becoming a Member of Excellence? Please join us on May 20 as the Bemis Company hosts our chapter meeting and will be providing dinner for those in attendance for my boss’ presentation (see page 2 for details). I hope to see you there! At your service,
Annamarie Zimmerman, CAP-OM 2013-2014 President

Member Spotlight Member:
Lori Frederick
Chapter Role:
I joined IAAP in December 2011 after discussing with Laurie Hoelzel all the positives that went along with an IAAP membership. I am honored to be the Vice President of IAAP this term and have enjoyed arranging and communicating chapter and BOD meetings. It is a treat to share my profession and the passion for this organized, problem-solving, prioritizing, adaptable, detail-oriented field of ours with these fine women of IAAP!
On the Job:
I have had many titles in my 25 year career including Office Manager, Executive Secretary, Administrative Assistant and Accounting & Human Resources Assistant. Currently, I have been working for three years as an Administrative Assistant within the Global Marketing Research & Analytics department at Kimberly-Clark. I began many years ago with graduating from Patricia Stevens Career College, Milwaukee with an Executive Secretarial degree. After that I worked at several attorneys’ offices in Milwaukee and Appleton, Neenah Foundry Company and then worked on a part-time basis with the Weidert Group (advertising agency in Appleton) after having my children. At Kimberly-Clark I am an Administrative Assistant for two Global Directors, a Senior Manager and 13 others within the GMR&A department. I thoroughly enjoy the variety of each work day whether I am setting up surveys, scheduling interviews, producing a newsletter, planning details of global meetings, calendar maintenance or travel planning. In November, 2013 I did achieve the Professional Administrative Certificate of Excellence (PACE) thru the American Society of Administrative Professionals organization (this was prior to my knowledge of IAAP!)
Beyond IAAP:
My husband, Tom and I have three children, Ryan (24), Shelby (22) and Abby (20)—who are all currently in college. Our family is enjoying our recent lake cabin purchase near the Wisconsin/U.P. border as we enjoy fishing, boating and all things outdoors. I dabble in a variety of crafts, playing volleyball and traveling.
