Responding in Song | Crown Him [Majesty] & Hosanna (Praise Is Rising) Prayer of Confession | Todd Paben
“As a community, our corporate confession of sin is a three fold-‐acknowledgement that (1) the world is not the way it was meant to be, (2) we as a church are not the way we were meant to be, and (3) I am not the way I was meant to be. Sin’s invasion into our world and our hearts has corrupted all of us, and apart from the mercy of God, we are without hope. As Christians acknowledge their failures together, they testify to the world that the plausibility of the Gospel is rooted not in their performance, but in the faithful mercy of God.” – Mike Cosper Rhythms of Grace So as we come together and confess our sins before one another and before the Lord, know that this is a regular part of life. As a holy and perfect God has called us into his presence, we quickly realize where we have fallen short throughout our days and weeks. So let us come together in prayer, confessing our sins to a faithful and merciful God who hears our prayer.
Almighty God, we confess how hard it is to be your people. You have called us to be the church, to continue the mission of Jesus Christ to our lonely and confused world. Yet we acknowledge we are more apathetic than active, isolated than involved, callous than compassionate, obstinate than obedient, legalistic than loving. Gracious Lord, have mercy upon us and forgive our sins. Remove the obstacles preventing us from being your representatives to a broken world. Awaken our hearts to the promised gift of your indwelling Spirit. This we pray in Jesus’s powerful name. Amen.

The true light that gives light to everyone has come into the world. To all who have received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. So may the peace of Christ be with you And also with you!
