Autumn Excitement! Mr. Sampler’s Spotlight I know we are all excited about Fall Break, but please remember to stay focused. Enjoy you Fall Break! 3rd Grade News Mrs. Scroggings’ class is learning about Christopher Columbus and are making boats. Mrs. Probst’s class is learning about nouns and maps. Mrs. Gates’ class had a fun time learning about Christopher Columbus. They also went on a field trip to see David Titus, the string man and author. What fun! Mrs. Trapp’s class is learning that there are communi-
ties, such as, rural, suburban, and urban. 4th Grade News Mrs. Gunnarschja’s class made skeletons last week. This week they are making bats. Mrs. Roach’s class finished their Christopher Columbus movie and are making the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria. Mrs. Hollen’s class is learning about Christopher Columbus and are learning about the State Capitol. Mrs. Hall’s class is reading, reading, reading! 5th Grade Students have been going to Ft. Sill for the STARBASE Program. They
did hands-on activities this week to learn more about temperature, air pressure, physical and chemical changes. Next Tuesday, October 18th, all 5th grade classes will be going on STARBASE Field Trip. They will be touring Ft. Sill to see all the different occupations and worksites of the base.

Sports Update The Wild Things soccer team will have a game on Saturday. Come and cheer them on. Cache White Peewee played Cache Red Peewee on Monday. It was a great game. They all played hard. In the midgets, Cache Red won and Cache Black barely lost. Good Luck to all the students who represent our school at all events that they participate in!

D.A.R.E. 5th Grade students have started participating in the D.A.R.E. program. Each Friday for the next 8 weeks students will attend the class. D stands for Define-Describe the problem, A stands for Assess– What are your choices? R stands for Respond—Make a choice. E stands for Evaluate— Review you decision. D.A.R.E. is cool.
