BOARD OF EDUCATION MINUTES NEWELL SCHOOL DISTRICT #9-2 SPECIAL MEETING JUNE 26, 2017 Chairman Youngberg called the special meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. with members Wells, Gaer, Wendt and Weeldreyer present. Administration present: Supt. Dutt, Business Manager Pflaumer. Visitors: Aileen Brunner, Tim Barnaud, Joe Nies. Member Trohkimoinen joined the meeting at 6:16 p.m. Unless otherwise noted, all Board action was by unanimous decision. APPROVE AGENDA Motion Gaer, second Wendt to approve the agenda as presented. Carried. APPROVE CALL FOR BIDS ON ROOF REPAIR Motion Weeldreyer, second Wells to Call For Bids for 3 roofs and 2 entryways on school buildings. Carried. EXECUTIVE SESSION Motion Wendt, second Weeldreyer to enter into executive session at 6:07 p.m. to discuss negotiations as per SDCL 1-25-2(4). Carried. The Board returned to regular session at 7:10 p.m. Motion Trohkimoinen, second Wells to approve the 2017/2018 Technology Coordinator contract as per Negotiated. Carried. EXECUTIVE SESSION Motion Gaer, second Wendt to enter into executive session at 7:18 p.m. to discuss personnel issues as per SDCL 125-2(1). Carried.
