Business Advisory Group 1. Additions to Agenda a. Lottery ADA 2. County Treasurer Update – Lisa Lam & Collette Worsham (Handout) a. New: Investment Pool Oversight Committee b. Dissolved: Treasury Oversight Committee i. New bylaws need to be approved (They are the same.) ii. Meeting late January or February 3. Introduction to Group – Adrian Barron a. Introduced Steve Monahan – ITS – Network Operations Manager b. Steve brought up the fact that a District Workstation Technician’s need is increasing. i. Tech should be onboard in February. (At lower cost) ii. Do districts need/want this? iii. Steve is available to meet with school representatives if interested. 4. HR Updates – Karen Finley a. Working on STRS refund. i. Money has been refunded to BCOE. ii. Worked with System Support to help to make the spreadsheet work. iii. Some met the November payroll; others to go onto the December payroll. iv. Very small refunds, but, yes, they have to be processed and sent out. 5. SELPA – Rusty Gordon a. Committee update – SELPA looking at voting region for Charter School i. Some districts would like to review their regions 6. IFAS Call Support – Adrian Barron a. Upon reviewing the details of the on-call rate, it has come up more than originally discussed. b. Are the districts still interested? c. Discussion as to how the entire process of “on-call” would work. d. Suggestion for the help-person to come in as is available. e. This has been put on hold and will re-visit in January, 2016. 7. Forest Reserve Secret Allocation – Adrian Barron a. Additional unexpected money should be coming in. b. Will refund when and if it comes in. (Refund, June,2016) 8. GSA Monitoring – Adrian Barron (Handout) a. Review handout. Sites should be monitoring the class sizes for the upcoming months.
9. Educator Effectiveness – Adrian Barron a. Money to be released in December, on CDE schedule b. Possibly sent on 80/20% split. c. Adrian to send out sample forms 10. Lottery ADA (Addition to agenda) Connie Cavanaugh - Chico a. How is Lottery ADA figures? Doesn’t appear to be logical. b. Discussion about what the rate will be? Not funding ROP/ Will the rate change increase?
