Children’s Ministry This Month’s Spotlight: Ariel Donaldson If you did not already know, Ariel is the daughter of Andy and Judi Astadurian and sister of our AWANA commander, Kyle Astadurian. Ariel graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in Business Management Human Resources and has had various full time and part time jobs in Human Resources since graduating. She has been married to Chris Donaldson for almost three years and they are excited to be welcoming their first child this coming September! For fun, Ariel and Chris love to go camping and travel, especially anywhere tropical. Ministry has been a part of her whole life having grown up at FBC. As a child after school and in the summer, she would help her mom out with projects at the church. While in the 4th grade, she officially started serving on Sunday mornings as a helper in the pre-school classes any time they needed a sub. She served as a leader in AWANA for six years in Sparks and T&T girls while she was in high school and college. For two years now, Ariel and Chris have been serving in the ONE28 ministry to students in 7th through 12th grade. Ariel coleads a small group of high school girls that meets on Wednesday nights.
In Children’s Ministry, Ariel is on a rotation of serving three months a year as Church Time Leader to the 4&5 year old class. “I enjoy teaching the younger kids because they always have so much enthusiasm with everything they do, and to see their excitement each week when learning more about God’s word is really encouraging. The 4&5s specifically are such a great age group to be with. You really get to see what they are learning on a weekly basis and how they apply it. They are able to retain the stories each week and are always eager to share what they remember from the previous weeks.”

The Gospel Continues to Spread The Jews Resist the Holy Spirit The Church is Persecuted and the Gospel Spread
Ananias and Sapphira gave money to the apostles but lied to have the praise of men Fear God who took the lives of Ananias and Sapphira who lied to the Holy Spirit Remember that God knows your heart The Lord sent an angel to open the prison doors The Gospel is unstoppable Pray that people will be saved Stephen preached the Gospel Be a servant to others as Stephen was Ask yourself if you are rejecting God People in the church were persecuted Simon Peter was jealous of the apostles and needed to repent Rejoice that the Gospel continues to spread
Kids for Christ Children’s Church meets during the sermon portion of our worship service for the 1st through 6th grade students in the West Chapel. May’s teacher is Mrs. Sheila Sutton. Along with Bible Drills and Bible Baseball, we will be learning about the life of a missionary for the month of May. Editor: Julia Buehl 2
