Coach David Antal, (CHS Hall of Fame 2013), is a 1995 graduate of Copley High School. In his four years of high school, he appeared in two State Finals capturing the 1994 State Championship, Copley’s first ever State Championship. He was a Two-Time All-Mideast and All-Ohio performer during his time at Copley. He currently holds the all-time goal scored total (49), and is tied for total points (124) all time with current MLS star Josh Williams. He later went onto become a four-year letterman at 2010 National Champion University of Akron, being part of many MAC Championship teams that were ranked in the top twenty. Coach Antal resides in Copley with his wife Jessica, daughter Belle (10), sons Landon (7) and Gage (3). Coach Antal is committed to Copley Soccer’s TRADITION OF EXCELLENCE! Additional coaches will include the staff from Copley High School as well as the members of the Copley High School Boys’ Soccer Team!
The Copley Indians Summer Camp is designed for the players to have fun, gain valuable experience, and work hard in a comfortable environment.
The players will participate in a daily drill period, where they will be taught the fundamentals of footwork, shooting, defense, goalkeeping, and other gameimportant skills. The players will experience competition through scrimmages, small-sided games, and possession games. Along with being educational, the camp is designed to be rewarding and enjoyable for boys and girls of all skill and experience levels. Camper night will be at the Varsity match on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 7:00pm, at Copley High School.
The soccer team and coaches look forward to spending time with the young players of the community!
