Rows 6-41: Repeat Rows 2-5, 9 times; finish off White only.

Size: 0-3 months

Change to smaller size hook.

MATERIALS Sport Weight Yarn [7 ounces (700 yards) per skein]: Pink - 2 skeins Baby Fingering Weight Yarn [13/4 ounces (270 yards) per skein]: White - 3 skeins Crochet hooks, sizes G (4.00 mm) and H (5.00 mm) or sizes needed for gauge Tapestry needle 20" Zipper Sewing needle and thread

Row 42: Ch 1, turn; sc in first 4 sts, (decrease, sc in next 5 sts) across: 82 sc. Row 43: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across; do not finish off. LEFT FRONT Row 1: Ch 1, turn; sc in first 19 sc, leave remaining 63 sc unworked. Rows 2-11: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. Row 12: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across, place marker around last sc made for Trim placement; do not finish off. NECK SHAPING Row 1: Turn; slip st in first 3 sc, ch 1, sc in next sc and in each sc across: 16 sc.

GAUGE: With smaller size hook, 8 sc and 9 rows = 2"; With larger size hook, 10 sc or 5 3-dc groups and each pattern repeat (8 rows) = 31/4" BODY With one strand of Pink and one strand of White held together and larger size hook, ch 96 loosely.

Row 2: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across to last 2 sc, decrease: 15 sc. To work beginning decrease, pull up a loop in first 2 sc, YO and draw through all 3 loops on hook (counts as one sc).

Row 1 (Right side): Sc in second ch from hook, (dc in next ch, sc in next ch) across: 95 sts. Note: Mark last row as right side. Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc, now and throughout), turn; dc in same st, (skip next dc, 3 dc in next sc) across to last 2 sts, skip next dc, 2 dc in last sc: 142 dc. To decrease, pull up a loop in next 2 sts, YO and draw through all 3 loops on hook (counts as one sc). To work Front Post double crochet (abbreviated FPdc), YO, insert hook from front to back around post of dc indicated, YO and pull up a loop, (YO and draw through 2 loops on hook) twice. Row 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in first dc, decrease, (work FPdc around next dc, decrease) across to last dc, sc in last dc: 95 sts. Row 4: Ch 1, turn; sc in Front Loop Only of each st across.

Row 4: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across to last 2 sc, decrease: 13 sc. Row 5: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across; finish off leaving a long end for sewing. BACK Row 1: With wrong side facing and smaller size hook, skip next sc from Left Front on Row 43 of Body and join Pink with sc in next sc; sc in next 41 sc, leave remaining 20 sc unworked: 42 sc. Rows 2-17: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across. Finish off leaving a long end for sewing. RIGHT FRONT Row 1: With wrong side facing and smaller size hook, skip next sc from Back on Row 43 of Body and join Pink with sc in next sc; sc in each sc across: 19 sc. Rows 2-11: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.

Row 5: Ch 1, turn; working in both loops, sc in first sc, (dc in next sc, sc in next sc) across.

NECK SHAPING Row 1: Ch 1, turn; sc in first 16 sc, leave remaining 3 sc unworked.

Rnds 15 and 16: Ch 1, turn; sc in same st and in each sc around; join with slip st to first sc. Rnd 17: Ch 2, turn; hdc in second ch from hook, skip next sc, H slip st in next sc, ch 2, hdc in second ch from hook, skip next sc; repeat from H around; join with slip st to joining slip st, finish off.

Row 2: Ch 1, turn; work beginning decrease, sc in each sc across: 15 sc. Row 3: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across to last 2 sc, decrease: 14 sc.

Repeat for second Sleeve. TRIMS

Row 4: Ch 1, turn; work beginning decrease, sc in each sc across: 13 sc. Row 5: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across; finish off. Sew shoulder seams. SLEEVE Rnd 1: With right side facing and larger size hook, join one strand of Pink and one strand of White held together with sc in skipped sc at underarm; work 27 sc evenly spaced around armhole opening; join with slip st to first sc: 28 sc. Rnd 2: Ch 1, do not turn; sc in same st, dc in next sc, (sc in next sc, dc in next sc) around; join with slip st to first sc. Rnd 3: Ch 3, turn; 2 dc in same st, skip next dc, (3 dc in next sc, skip next dc) around; join with slip st to first dc: 42 dc. Rnd 4: Ch 1, turn; pull up a loop in same st and in next dc, YO and draw through all 3 loops on hook (counts as first sc), work FPdc around next dc, (decrease, work FPdc around next dc) around; join with slip st to Back Loop Only of first sc: 28 sts.

RIGHT FRONT Row 1: With right side facing, smaller size hook, and working in end of rows, join Pink with sc in Row 1 of Body; work 74 sc evenly spaced across ending in marked row, remove marker: 75 sc. Row 2: Turn; slip st in first sc, H ch 2, hdc in second ch from hook, skip next sc, slip st in next sc; repeat from H across; finish off. LEFT FRONT Row 1: With right side facing, smaller size hook, and working in end of rows, join Pink with sc in marked row, remove marker; work 74 sc evenly spaced across: 75 sc. Row 2: Turn; slip st in first sc, H ch 2, hdc in second ch from hook, skip next sc, slip st in next sc; repeat from H across; finish off. NECK BAND Row 1: With right side facing and smaller size hook, join Pink with sc in end of Row 1 on Right Front Trim; work 10 sc evenly spaced across to Back, sc in each sc across Back, work 10 sc evenly spaced across to Left Front Trim, sc in end of Row 1 on Trim: 38 sc.

Rnd 5: Ch 1, turn; sc in Front Loop Only of same st and each st around; join with slip st to both loops of first sc.

Rows 2-4: Ch 1, turn; sc in each sc across.

Rnd 6: Ch 1, turn; working in both loops, sc in same st, dc in next sc, (sc in next sc, dc in next sc) around; join with slip st to first sc.

HOOD Row 1: With right side facing and smaller size hook, skip first 8 sc on Neck Band and join Pink with sc in next sc; sc in same st, 2 sc in each of next 20 sc, sc in next sc, leave remaining 8 sc unworked: 43 sc.

Finish off.

Rnds 7-13: Repeat Rnds 3-6 once, then repeat Rnds 3-5 once more; finish off White only. Change to smaller size hook. Rnd 14: Ch 1, turn; working in both loops, sc in same st and in next sc, decrease, (sc in next sc, decrease) 7 times, sc in last 3 sc; join with slip st to first sc: 20 sc.

Row 3: Holding working strand of Pink and one strand of White together, ch 1, turn; sc in first sc, (dc in next sc, sc in next sc) across. Row 4: Ch 3, turn; dc in same st, (skip next dc, 3 dc in next sc) across to last 2 sts, skip next dc, 2 dc in last sc: 64 dc. Row 5: Ch 1, turn; sc in first dc, decrease, (work FPdc around next dc, decrease) across to last dc, sc in last dc: 43 sts. Row 6: Ch 1, turn; sc in Front Loop Only of each st across. Row 7: Ch 1, turn; working in both loops, sc in first sc, (dc in next sc, sc in next sc) across. Rows 8-15: Repeat Rows 4-7 twice. Row 16: Ch 1, turn; sc in each st across; finish off leaving long ends for sewing. Fold Row 16 in half with right sides together; with long ends and working through both thicknesses, whipstitch Hood seam.

TRIM Row 1: With right side facing and smaller size hook, join Pink with slip st in first slip st on Row 2 of Right Front Trim (at base of Neck Band), ch 1; working in end of rows on Neck Band, slip st in first row, ch 1, (slip st in next row, ch 1) 3 times; working in unworked sc on Row 4 of Neck Band, slip st in first sc, ch 1, (slip st in next sc, ch 1) 7 times; working in end of rows on Hood, sc in first row, place marker around sc just made for st placement, work 36 sc evenly spaced across Hood, place marker around last sc made for st placement, ch 1; working in unworked sc on Row 4 of Neck Band, slip st in first sc, ch 1, (slip st in next sc, ch 1) 7 times; working in end of rows on Neck Band, slip st in first row, ch 1, (slip st in next row, ch 1) 3 times, slip st in last slip st on Row 2 of Left Front Trim; finish off. Row 2: With wrong side facing and smaller size hook, join Pink with slip st in first marked sc, remove marker; H ch 2, hdc in second ch from hook, skip next sc, slip st in next sc; repeat from H across working last slip st in next marked sc, remove marker; finish off. With Pink, sew bottom seam. Use sewing needle and thread to sew zipper in place along wrong side of Row 1 on Front Trims.
