Samuel Barlow Primary School
14th October 2016 Another great week at Samuel Barlow! A huge thank you to all the parents who have completed the questionnaire - I assure you I will be reading them all and using any feedback to make improvements to the school so that we are working together to improve the education of our children. Massive congratulations to Year 1/2 who got 100% attendance last week – FANTASTIC!
Viking Workshop Classes 3 and 4 enjoyed an enthralling day of Viking stories last week with Gordon McLellan, aka Creeping Toad. The children were awestruck as they listened. Please take a look at our class pages on the school website to see what was created and ask the children about it as they will have lots to tell you!
Football Result : 2:5
Football Team Mascot
The football team played a game against Holly Primary at home last night. It was their first time as a team and, although they played really well, the end result was 2:5 to Holly.
Meet our new team mascot! kindly made by Angie (Owen Pearson’s Gran) . Thank you.
Harvest Festival
Tea-Time Troopers
Thank you to all our parents/ carers for your generosity in supporting our Harvest Festival last week. All goods have been donated to the Beacon Project for the homeless.
We are up and running! Please use this facility or it will not be able to continue, which would be a shame as over 30 parents said they were interested and at the moment numbers are low. I have also agreed that if your child is in an After-School Club they can go on to Tea-Time Troopers afterwards for the cost of £1 – they will be fed too!
