Looking Up Suggested idea for your group prayer time: Prayer is not just a way to end your Bible study. Sharing prayer requests is not meant to be a time of telling others in your group what is happening in your life. Instead, prayer is an act of dependence on God. It is a time to take our eyes off ourselves and enter into the throne room of Heaven and rest in the presence of Almighty God. Instead of taking time in the group to share and talk about each need, have each person go to God in prayer and express his or her request. Others in the group can then offer short prayers on behalf of that person. Doing this will keep the focus on Christ and on the fact that He is our intercessor. It will also help you spend more time actually praying than just talking about your prayer needs.
