Northwest Ohio Annual Meeting
Northwest Ohio’s Annual meeting was held on Monday, Nov. 25 at LaScola Restaurant for the fourth year in a row. In addition to the meeting, we welcomed a new slate of officers for the 2014-2015 term. They are: james Davis, President, Bryan Little, Exec Vice Pres., Jerri Banks, Vice President, Paul Ghidotti, Vice President, Paul Vrzal, Treasurer, Michele Henson, Secretary and delegate Mark Weider and Scott Elbin. Ethel Parker is the Immediate Past President.
The NWO Board and staff want to wish our members a very Happy Holiday season and prosperous New Year, and encourage you all to get a neighbor, the entire family or friends who don’t play tennis out on the court in 2014! We need your help to make our Mission State come true! Also, we would like to recognize all organizations and their staff for their support of tennis! Thank you all for your continued support! Enjoy some of the pictures below from the evening.
We took the time to recognize all our award recipients: President’s award went to Penny Dean, The William T Rathbun award to Wayne Kilton, also our guest speaker from the Van Wert Tennis Association, the Family of the Year – Unnerstall family. The 2014 budget was approved, and we had time to share our successes, socialize and eat some hors deuvers.

USTA League Tennis 2 Adult & Junior Tour- 2 naments
On behalf of the NWOTA board and staff we hope you had a happy and safe holiday season! Tennis is a sport I have been involved in for over 40 years. It has blessed me in so many ways and with so many experiences and friendships. It is an honor to be named your s. I and the new Board will work very hard to earn the trust you have bestowed in us. One of our goals for 2014 is increasing adult participation focusing on USTA adult league play and adult entry-level play days. Another goal is to increase youth participation with a focus on marketing throughout the district. These are a few of the areas we would like to concentrate on in
2014. Further details on their implementation will be coming out soon. The Board, Staff, and I would welcome any help you could give us. If you would like to help us with an event or an area, please call our office at 419-842-1269. Thank you in advance for your potential assistance. Happy New Year! Jim Davis President NWOTA
