Sunday’s On-Road Races: Riders must check in at registration between 7:00 am & 9:00 am to fill out two required forms; registration and waiver. Road Races go off in 15 minute intervals starting with the 37 mile, 15 mile and 26 mile races. Sunday’s races begins at 10 am. Booths & on–site parking available. · Pre Register by August 31st to receive FREE Adult T-Shirt. Packet will be available race day (no packets will be mailed) and will include : 1. Racing Number/pins 2. T– Shirt Voucher · Waiver: SIGNATURE REQUIRED. Note: There are 3 different waivers; licensed rider, non-licensed rider and mountain bike rider. 1. RACE COURSES: All courses vary in type and difficulty (see maps). There is a race for every style and type of rider. Areas covered in race include: Apollo, Bethel Twp., Gilpin Twp., Leechburg and Parks Twp., . Courses and race times may be changed due to conditions. Intersections will be guarded where possible and necessary. All riders are personally responsible for knowing their respective race courses. 2. Pre Register by August 31st to receive FREE T-Shirt. Packet will be available race day (no packets will be mailed) and will include : (1) Racing Number/pins (2) T– Shirt Voucher 3. ON-SITE REGISTRATION: A. Mountain Bike Off-Road Roaring Run I (9:00 am) and II (9:15 am)(Saturday, September 7) Registration is 1 hour prior to each race at the Roaring Run Trail located off of Kiski Avenue, Apollo, PA (see map for location). Proceed to registration located near the Start/Finish Line at the Roaring Run race site. Prizes and trophies will be awarded at race site after each race. Food booth and on-site parking for all riders and spectators. B. Road Races / Children’s Event (Sunday, September 8) Registration will be held from 7:00 am to 9 am on Market Street, Leechburg, PA . All riders will be directed to park and unload in designated areas. 4. FEES: $35 per event which includes a T-shirt for pre-registered racers only. Participants registering the day of the race may purchase a T-shirt for $10.00. Children's Event - no fee. 5. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER. HELMETS REQUIRED. 6. MEN’S/WOMEN’S TEAMS: Team riders individually qualify for overall race awards/prizes. Part of the 37 mile (men’s) and 21.52 mile (women’s) races. Teams of 4 or more men and 3 or more women will comprise the team. Team winners based on cumulative times of top 4 men/to 3 women on team. Team riders also qualify for individual rewards. 7. BUSINESS TEAM AND TANDEM COMPETITIONS will be part of the 21.52 mile Men’s Road Race II race course. Tandem riders must register individually and will race against other registered tandems. Business Teams Race are in the name of a specific business and are comprised of 2-4 employees. Team riders qualify for individual awards and prizes.
8. MOUNTAIN BIKE (ON AND OFF-ROAD RACES): Riders must have straight handlebars and knobby tires. 9. SAFETY HELMETS are required for all participants for protection. PRIZES: Awards given after each off-road race Saturday, September 7th. A. Roaring Run I (Ages 18+)– Cash prize for top three; trophy for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall (male/female); Medallions for 4th and 5th place overall and separate awards for categories: Masters (40-49), Senior (50+). B. Roaring Run II (Ages 12+)- Trophy for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall (male/female). Medallions for 4th and 5th place overall and separate awards for categories: Youth(12-14), Teen (15-17), Masters (40-49), Senior (50+). Awards given out after the last race on Sunday, September 8th between 1 and 2 pm. A. Road Race I (Ages 15+) – Cash prize for top five; trophy for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place overall.
