Letter from the President It is the start of another great year for COPRIMA. 2017 is already shaping up to be a good year to learn new things about our world of insurance and risk. The conference in Colorado Springs in August is getting set up and it is looking like another really good conference. The board and conference committee is finalizing all the details as we speak. This conference looks like a lot of fun with the western theme and entertainment. I wanted to thank everyone for the opportunity to serve as your president for 2017. This organization has always been very valuable to the success of many government risk programs throughout Colorado. The education we receive, as well as the commitment of our members to always be a resource to each other, makes our jobs less stressful and perhaps easier. At the very least we have made lifetime friends in the organization. The January 19th meeting is at Arapahoe County. The topic is “Combustion Accidents Explained”. The presenter is Randolph Harris at Fay Engineering. This looks to be an interesting topic to start out our year. Somehow the words Risk Management and Combustion maybe should not be used in the same sentence so this will be really good information! Hopefully everyone has had a great holiday season and is ready to jump in and run with 2017. If you have any topic ideas or have seen some great presentations that you would like to share with the group please contact one of us on the board and we will look at getting it on the schedule. Also remember to go online and pay the dues for 2017. Have a great and safe January. Kathy Kvasnicka, Your 2017 President
