Letter from the President
Happy May to all.
Our May meeting is on the 18th. The title of the presentation is “Providing Naloxone (Narcan) for Overdoses presented by Jerry Peters, Thornton PD. Don’t forget to RSVP so we can get an accurate count for lunch. Conference scholarships are being reviewed. If you want to be considered for one get an email to me asap. There are several students in the CU program and some are participating in the meetings and would like to go to the conference. That is good news for the program. Future Risk Managers are important and these students will have a good jump on much of the education by attending meetings and conferences. As most of you know we have had some problems with the website. Please email me and let me know if you can’t do something you are wanting to do on the website. We hope to redo that website later in the year. If you know of someone that would like to help with the redesign of the website please let me know. Summer is in full swing at our entities. Events are starting, lots of clean up work and planting is going on (only if the weather would just cooperate!) The Colorado chapter would like to send our thoughts and help if needed to those dealing with the hail damage this week. If we can help in anyway please reach out. Weather in Colorado can be very cruel!! I would also like to say thank you to Peter Hallez. He has been such a great asset to Colorado PRIMA but he has taken a new position and will no longer be a member of COPRIMA. I for one will miss his enthusiasm. And who will be our Top Gun guy!! Anyone working with Peter on sponsorships can contact Brennan Mendus. Good luck from your friends at COPRIMA. Don’t forget to keep in touch with us. Also remember to renew your membership for 2017 if you have not already done so. Have a great and safe May. Kathy Kvasnicka, Your 2017 President
