Is there a Doctor in the house? Clean cartons and bottle tops for the children in Foundation to get creative with and for next week any spare cats you might have, we mean the soft toy variety of course. The children in Nursery will be learning about animals so other animal cuddlies would also be useful.

Well that’s debatable! There will be a Debate Mate competition between 3.30pm and 6pm.

If not, you may be interested in appearing in a TV ad which will be filmed in March/April this year. If you are aged 30-50 and have three or more children over the age of five, ou can contact Decky McGettigan on

Children from a number of other local schools will be visiting our school to compete against each other in two debates.

More news and things…..

On your bike! A Pre-Pedal course has been organised together with Transport for Greater Manchester and delivered by Bike Right in our school on Tuesday 1st March. This course will provide some excellent tips to help adults support their children to learn to ride and have fun on wheels and is designed to help children aged 2-6. Bike Right will be donating 4 balancing bikes, one for our bike club (every Friday) and 3 for our Foundation unit.

8 x 500 = 4000 = WOW! Eight of our year 5 children have been working hard over the last 6 weeks at Writing Club and have submitted their entries into Radio 2’s ‘500 Words’ competition. The children are Matthew, Erin, Precious, Tiviyan, Anu, Ruby, Edward and Onyeka. We wish them well.

Easter Raffle There will be an Easter Raffle with lots of prizes to be won, including two cash prizes and Easter Eggs. Tickets cost 20p each and will be sold daily throughout this half term and are also available from Mrs Edwards.
