Proceeds raised will help keep the program affordable, defray the cost of ice time and to continue building the De Pere Youth Hockey winning tradition. Date: August 11, 2014 Registration: 10:00 AM Scramble Shotgun Start: 11:00 AM (Rain or Shine) Dinner: 4:00 PM (Prizes will be awarded) Silent Auction & Raffle: 4:00 PM Registration Due: August 1, 2014 Entry Fees: $125 - Individual golfer. Fees includes 18 holes, cart, hole prizes 4 beverage tickets and steak dinner at clubhouse following golf. Sponsorships: $100 - Hole Sponsor, $250 - Beverage Cart Sponsor, $250 - Range Sponsor, $500 - Coaches Hole, Lunch Sponsor, Dinner Sponsor. A few items to note with regard to the parent meeting: The expectation is that your 2014-2015 registration has been completed. The season fee payment will be collected. Tryout jerseys will be issued for Squirt, Pee Wee and Bantam players at the meeting. Tryout jerseys will not be available at tryouts.

The 2014-2015 season for HIP and Mite players will begin on Saturday, October 4th and will continue holding sessions on Saturdays during the month of October. Regular season practices will begin the first week of November. The schedule and times will be communicated and posted on our website as soon as they are confirmed.
FALL WARM UP
TRYOUTS
Fall warm-up sessions will occur during the following weeks: September 29th –October 3rd October 6th – 10th October 13th – 17th There will be three sessions each week. Times will be communicated and posted on our website as soon as they are confirmed.
Tryouts will occur the week of October 20th. Please note, due to a scheduled St. Norbert game on Friday, October 24th, the final tryout evaluation will be held on Monday, October 27th. Again, times will be similar to last year. They will be communicated and posted on our website as soon as they are confirmed.
TEAM PRACTICES BEGIN
The Zebra Cup is scheduled for October 25th and 26th. What is the Zebra Cup? A zebra cup is a tournament designed to develop our new referees. It is real life training during their clinic prior to the season starting. If teams are assembled to participate, the teams formed have no relevance to do with tryouts or where a player falls in the tryout process.
Team practices are planned to begin the first week of November with games to begin mid-November. This timeframe will provide teams time to practice together several times before their first scheduled game. Season practice times are currently being scheduled. The schedule and times will be communicated and posted on our website as soon as they are confirmed.
ZEBRA CUP
There will be no hockey scheduled between December 24th and January 4th. Pond Hockey will again be available on December 27th, 29th, 31st and January 2nd. Specific times for the pond hockey sessions will be posted as soon as they are scheduled.

To all coaches and those interested in coaching, USA Hockey and the Coaching Education Program require both registration with USA Hockey and certification to be eligible to coach. Registration is done online on a yearly basis. Certification is also required. This is a great time to verify that your CEP Certification is up to date. Your current CEP level can be found at http://www.usahockey.com/ inside the coaches tab. If you are new to the USA hockey CEP program the rules are as follows: All coaches enter USA Hockey’s Coaching Education Program at Level 1, and must continue their education with a coaching clinic each year until they achieve Level 3. EXCEPTION: Coaches of 8U or younger players may remain at Level 1 or their current level. A coach may attend only one (1) certification clinic per year (not including age-specific requirements). Coaches who do not coach in continuous years must re-enter the program at the next level when they resume coaching responsibilities. Once Level 3 is achieved, periodic renewal every 2 years is required for coaches who have not achieved Level 4. Coaches who attain Level 4 certification are not required to attend any further certification clinics but must adhere to the age-specific requirement for the group they are coaching. A local clinic noted is scheduled for September 6th, at the Tundra Lodge from 9am4pm. Registration is currently available for this clinic. The coaching application form for Head coach and Assistant coaches will be published soon followed by interviews mid-September.
EARN MONEY OFF YOUR SKATERS FEES WITH SCRIP Scrip Program is coming to DPYH….. Scrip is an incredible fundraising tool for nonprofit organizations like schools, churches, athletic groups, and more. Members will earn money for their organization just by using gift cards to pay for your everyday purchases. The DPYH Scrip program will be set up so that members can earn credit towards their fees along with raising money for our organization. Members can lower their fees just by paying for their normal household shopping with gift cards. DPYH will be structured to have an 80/20 split, meaning 80% of what you raise will go in an account for you to use towards your fees and 20% will go to the organization. Members will buy gift cards at full face value, and use them in place of cash, checks, or credit cards for their everyday shopping. Our organization will buy them from Great Lakes Scrip Center® at a reduced cost. The difference is immediate fundraising for our non-profit organization. Bridget Vandelist, Michelle Ponozzo, and Audra Neuman are in the process of establishing the program for DPYH and will be the coordinators for our organization. Stay tuned for more details.
