Writing and Resilience, They’re Not That Different! Learn rules for writing, and rules for resilience. Jaron is a creative marketing and public relations professional with more than 30 years experience. An award winning writer whose career, like life, includes ups and downs, she started her communications career in 1980 in the constantly changing healthcare industry. Jaron will talk about how the writing process works and how it’s analogous to life, requires an authentic original (subject to rewrites and multiple drafts, punctuated with setbacks and bounce backs), that when faithfully edited and spiced up, results in a good story, clearly communicated. Wade K. Meyer, M.Ed., Speaker

Stress and Distress: How to Balance Your Personal and Professional Life Unfortunately our Society has made stress a bad word. Stress is not a bad thing. Without stress, we would not be alive. In a really humorous and fun way, this program allows people to look at good stress, bad stress, and finally, distress. By understanding the differences, participants learn to balance their personal and professional lives. Wade K. Meyer, M.Ed., is a professional speaker and writer. He is a published novelist and poet. He has worked as a high school teacher and adjunct college professor, covering such areas as public speaking, communications, business creative writing, and the dreaded grammar. Wade has worked as a part-time radio host, and has done several presentations on employee motivation, retention, and customer awareness/response. He currently owns Grandview Paralegal Associates, which provides paralegal services for a private judge and for attorneys working in domestic, juvenile, and probate courts.
