Basics Embroidery Club To Hoop or Not to Hoop November Supply List To hoop or not to hoop, that is the question. Every new embroiderer will have certain projects in mind, and not know whether or not they can successfully hoop your fabric or blank. What is a blank? A blank is any object that is completely sewn and ready to use without any embellishment on it yet... For example, a set of table napkins, or a denim shirt, or a wine bottle apron without embroidery or decoration of any kind. Like any empty canvas for a painter, these items are just waiting for our creativity. This month, we will learn which projects need to be hooped, and which ones do not, in order to be completed successfully, and to look good. Supply List

Instructions for printing templates of designs— First, you must know that Windows operating system does not know how to read the embroidery design formats...so you will need some type of program to open the designs.. For example at berninausa.com>support>downloads there is a free program named Art Design v6. This program will allow you to open a design file in most formats (Jef is not available to this program). Any of you are welcome to download this free program…..Once downloaded, you will want to do the following; With the design of your choice open in the software go to file>print preview>options>print templates> on that page select to print the embroidery with start/end cross-hairs, and check 100% (not fit to page). The design must be set at actual size or 100% in order to be an accurate sized template. This print preview page will also give additional information about the design, such as colors, size, and amount of bobbin thread used.
