Achievement Award Friday 09 October 2015 Nursery AM: Jayden Parker: For trying very hard to tidy up Imaamah Saeed and Szymon Derylak: For being much more settled in nursery this week and joining in with group singing Parmveer Sandhu: made a rainbow fish from playdough, he used sequins to make the scales Dylan Jones and Macy Shepherd: Julia Lemanczyk. For being helpful at tidy up time. Colby Handley who is now able to cross his leg after finding this a struggle, he is now very proud of this achievement. Lewis Chesterton for helping to make our rainbow fish using lots of glitter to make a sparkly tail. PM: Tyler Gantley for looking at the big book funny bones independently and retelling some of the story . Kyle Varden: For being very independent and for always trying his best. Jaymini Patel always showing good sitting and listening in group. Eira Williams: For being very polite and kind to her friends Isabelle Cheatle good tidying up and telling others to help . Jake Brown and Harvey Stead: For making good choices during planning time this week, keeping busy and having a go at all of the different activities. Darcie Mann: For having lots of ideas when joining in with roleplay Class 1 – Miss Thomas Maryam Semmoudi for trying her hardest to form the ‘s’ and ‘a’ sounds during hand writing. After saying she couldn’t do it, she kept on trying and didn’t give up until she’d formed the letters. Mienna Mander, Raman Sahota, Thomas Bull, Pheobe Russell, Olivia Edis, Caitlin Cliff, ChloeLeigh Griffiths, Joshua Whickett and Karta Jones for using collage materials, these children made the 3 little pigs houses. They did a great job at remembering what order the houses were built and what the houses were made of. Brooke Fletcher for being very kind and helpful. If Brooke notices a messy area, she tidies up independently without being asked. Kaleb Moseley for ordering numbers 1-10. Abdul Nilar for re-telling the story of The Three Little Pigs and sequencing a set of pictures in order. Class 2 Mrs Cope Afzal Uddin for confident number writing to 5. Spencer Snape for independently writing numbers to 5. Millie-Mae Clines for confident number writing. Harry Colbourne, Charlotte Blake, Mason Nicholls & Jaiden Hanlan for writing and ordering numbers to 10. Daniel Saunders for writing and ordering numbers to 11. Scarlett Jones for writing and ordering numbers to 12.

Felicity Latham wrote a story using time connectives. Nathan Grice – Brilliant effort with addition this week. Green Cards: Taylor Ward Class 4—Mrs Mole Maths - Aimee Jukes & Tahid Rahman for working hard when adding and subtracting this week. English – Tia Wattley-Birch & Ryan Broadbent for working hard when reciting a poem. Class – Paris Capewell-Doody for being helpful this week at school. Corey Ibbs for listening carefully. Class 5—Mrs Kent Mathematics: Kieran Fitzgerald - for some super work on solving puzzles and patterns. Lauren Brown – for using great strategies when finding ways to make 6. English: Irina Islam – for her super explanation about keeping fit and healthy. She even tried to include sub-headings. Harrison Dawes – for finding the rhyming words in our poem about Autumn leaves. Other: Emily Corbett – for sharing her ideas about a healthy diet. Very knowledgeable! Millie Hodgetts – for working hard on her reading in class. Well done! Maths – Kaysee Sidhu for completing challenge 3 in Maths this week independently. ICT – Imogen Baker & Alexander Humpage for excellent pictures of themselves exercising, using their ICT skills. Maths – Nathan Pope and Ethan Perry for their super understanding of fractions this week. They have grown in confidence and persevered through the challenges. Well done boys! Base – Brody Garmston and Shayma Hoque for their excellent reading this week. They are a pleasure to listen to as they are always extremely enthusiastic and put lots of expression into their reading. Class 8—Mrs Fitzgerald

Maths - Kaydence Watson- For fantastic independent work when adding fractions with the same denominator. What a great week you’ve had! Ameera Ahmed- For fantastic fractions work this week. She has managed to get onto the stinker most days. Class - Corey Hill- For thinking of great similes when describing a setting. Corey also managed to get onto the stinker and include a sandwich sentence! Revenna Loo- For being focussed during ‘Reading Detectives’ and making good contributions. Class 9—Miss Diggett

English - Paige Hooper: working so hard to improve her handwriting. Joshua Carter: showing improvement in his presentation of work. Abigail Daly: excellent use of expression when reading rhetorical questions in Guided Reading. Maths - Haydon Stott and Adeel Readwaan: excellent independent work finding non-unit fractions of amounts – well done! Callum Carter: finding unit and non-unit fractions using our more efficient method (dividing by the denominator and multiplying by the numerator). Topic - Ryan Parkes: creating a fabulous robot in D&T! Class 10—Mrs Grice

Maths – Jayden Harbinson and Rhianna Johal for their work on fractions. They can find unit and non-unit fractions of amounts and explain their method. Not easy at times but they both rose to the challenge! Topic - Molly Jones for her super robot, Recycle Michael, which she made at home from recycled junk. I really like his wobbly head. He is standing guard outside the classroom until the end of our topic! Izly Mathews and Billy Robinson for their robot collages using nuts, bolts, screws and nails. Super job boys! Achievement Award Friday 09 October 2015 Class 11—Miss Walker Maths- Ashleigh Fearne- for persevering with fractions even though you found it mightily difficult. Well done. Isabel Mitchell- for working towards the stinker on the challenges. Fantastic!  English- Edward Hardwick- for drastic improvements in his handwriting. You are well on your way to your provisional license. Well done. Keep it up. Reece Costin- for big improvements in English in terms of attitude and independence. Class 12—Mrs Raxworthy-Cooper Shauna Mandengu for writing more quantity and quality work – always aiming to select appropriate openers to make them relevant to text-type. Toby Davies for always trying to uplevel his work thinking about his vocabulary. Maths - Sophie Edis for believing in herself and achieving Challenge 2 and moving onto Challenge 3 in maths. Riley Moore for challenging himself in maths and writing good reasoning explanations for finding equivalent fractions. Class 13- Miss Kelsey Maths – Scarlett Farnell – for fantastic work on 3-D nets and building shapes. You were a super star! Rohan Bassi – for a fabulous attitude to maths – I love that you always challenge yourself. Keep it up and you will succeed! Base – Kyle Sanders and Ryan Bradshaw – for being exemplary representatives of the school when they attended their first rock climbing lesson. They were also very good climbers according to their instructor. Keep it up boys! Class 14-Mrs Gallagher Anisa Gater, Carrie Moseley, Darcie Lewis, Eve Woodcock and Neve Jones for their fantastic expression and body language when advising a character from ‘Clockwork’ on their dilemma in our conscience alley. Well done!
