SWA provided open space design for Al Wasl Neighborhoods. The landscape design creates a contemporary setting that is developed in response to the climate, culture and social context. The setting is defined by trellis-covered alleyways and canopyshaded streets, which give way to plazas and public greens. The variety of open space systems and pedestrian oriented streetscapes, shade sensitive design strategies, innovative grading techniques, and water features ultimately create a network system of comfortable, shaded, human scale spaces.
