Annual College Scholarship Golf Outing The Canton Celtic was founded in 1978 with a focus on developing young soccer players to become quality players while gaining lifelong lessons and experiences. The Celtic are committed to developing strong community relationships with our players, families, and community businesses and organizations. Through the years, the Celtic organization has grown to over 2000 members from all over Metro Detroit and the surrounding areas, without compromising our beliefs and values. Eight years ago the Canton Soccer Club established a College Scholarship Golf Outing to assist graduating Canton Soccer Club players. It has been utilized for post secondary educational expenses. Applicants must have been accepted to a two or four year college/university program or technical school. All funds raised go straight into our College Scholarship Fund. Scholarship funds are raised by offering individuals and businesses the opportunity to either: 1. Sponsor a hole at the event for $120, with their logo displayed on an 24”x18” hole sponsor sign. 2. Donate items for our raffle. We raise additional funds by organizing raffle ‘baskets’ that consist entirely of donations from individuals and businesses. 3. Sponsor the event as either a Platinum ($560 – foursome and hole sign) or Bronze ($120 – hole sponsor). For other Sponsorship or Donation opportunities, please contact Greg Jahn.
