A Job Well Done!

Congratulations go to Mooresville’s district Teacher of the Year, MHS English teacher Sharon Eickhoff. She was chosen by her peers as the school’s teacher of the year and then as the district’s HOPE (Helping Our Pupils Excel) award winner. She will go to on represent Mooresville at the Indiana Teacher of the Year competition this fall. News Briefs Summer Meal Program: Our Food Services Department will again offer free meals for children ages 0-18 this summer. The program will run May 30 through July 28 at Neil Armstrong and Newby Elementary Schools. Both sites will serve lunch while Newby’s site will also serve breakfast. Adults may eat along with their children for $3 each. Visit our website for Program Details and Daily Menus.

Calendar Reminder: School begins this fall on Thursday, Aug. 3. Find a full school calendar for the 2017-18 and 2018-19 school calendars on our website.

Community Information: Visit our Community Information page for nonprofit organization and other school-related fliers. New fliers include: Komets Soccer, MAST Summer Swim Lessons, REMC Energy Explorer Camp, Morgan County Public Library Summer Reading, and Morgan County Coalition for Literacy & United Way Summer Reading Program.

Paper Shredding to Benefit School Supply Drive: Mooresville Schools will again host a paper shred truck at the Tox Away Day at MHS. This year’s event will be on Saturday, June 24, from 8am to 1pm. Paper shredding has a requested donation of $5 per box or bag. Funds raised will be used to purchase school supplies for students in need. See Tox Away Flier
