[email protected] BU’S LAST TIME OUT: Bloomsburg opened up a double-digit lead at the end of the first half and never looked back, as it took down Mansfield 93-73 Wednesday night at Decker Gymnasium. Five Huskies scored in double figures. Dana Wieller scored a game-high 22 points, along with Lauren Ellis (15), Kayla Oxenrider (13), Catherine Noack (11), and Jocelyn Ford (10) all scored in double figures. Bloomsburg’s leading rebounder was senior point guard Alyssa Flanagan who led the game with seven rebounds and seven assists. WCU’S LAST TIME OUT: Turnovers and red-hot outside shooting led host Shippensburg University to a, 75-55, victory over visiting West Chester. Paige Elliott led the Rams with 11 points on the night. It was her second straight game in double figures. Meghan Kerrigan led West Chester with seven points at halftime while Alexandra Lennon blocked three shots in the first 20 minutes. NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT: Bloomsburg is ranked 21st in this week’s USA Today Division II Top 25 poll. It has been ranked in the top 25 in each poll since the second week of the regular season.

SCORING LEADERS: Dana Wieller ranks fourth in BU history with 1,706 career points. She needs eight to move into third and tie Kelsey Gallagher. Kayla Oxenrider ranks 12th in school history and needs 28 to tie Michelle Albanese for 11th. HIGH SCORING AFFAIR: BU’s 55 first half points against Mansfield marked the second time this season BU scored 50 or more in the opening 20 minutes (50 vs. Wilmington). The 55 were the most in a half since it scored 56 in the second half at Millersville last season, and the most in the first half since scoring 57 against Penn State Schuylkill in the 2009-10 season. BU’s 93 points were the most against a PSAC opponent since it scored 99 against ESU at home in the 2010-11 season. SHE DOES IT ALL: In BU’s win over Mansfield, Bloomsburg’s leading rebounder was senior point guard Alyssa Flanagan who led the game with seven rebounds and seven assists. Her 2.33 assist-turnover ratio rates fifth in the PSAC and ninth in Division II. NOT IN OUR HOUSE: Bloomsburg currently holds an 18-game winning streak at home. Since the 2010-11 season, Bloomsburg holds an impressive 31-5 record on its home floor.

The last game without a three was on 1/12/08 at Slippery Rock (0-for-16). HIGH SCORING OFFENSE: Bloomsburg leads the PSAC in scoring at 76.8 points per game, and is on pace to break the school-record of 73.4 set last season. WHEELIN’ AND DEALIN’: Dana Wieller is second in the PSAC in scoring (15.5), three-point percentage (.378), and free throw percentage (.870). She has also made a three-pointer in 20 straight games. DOUBLE-DOUBLE’S: Lauren Ellis has a team-high four double-double’s this season. Dana Wieller notched her first career double-double earlier this season with 11 points and a career-high 11 assists at Philadelphia. THIS IS HER HOUSE: Lauren Ellis ranks seventh in BU history in blocks with 90. She needs one to move into sixth and tie Barb Hall’s mark of 91 set in 1990. Ellis had a career-high five rejections against Mercyhurst. This season, Ellis is sixth in the PSAC, averaging 1.5 rejections per game. Ellis had a streak of eight consecutive games with a block snapped in BU’s win against Cheyney.

OVERTIME HISTORY: Bloomsburg is 2-5 in overtime games in the Bill Cleary era. The last occurance was a 74-71, double overtime victory at Lincoln in the 2012-13 season, the first BU OT win since the 2009-10 season. The last loss for the Huskies was a 74-67 loss to Kutztown in the first round of the 2010 PSAC Tournament. BU’s other win in the Cleary era was against NYACK College in the 2009-10 season, an 8072 victory. ALL-PSAC RETURNERS: Dana Wieller was named to the All-PSAC East first team for the second consecutive season in 2011-12.
